Virtues of Taubah Part 9

In the Name of Allah,
the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As I was saying, there are four witnesses to the sins committed by man,
all of which are conclusively substantiated by proof from the Qur'an :

(1)  يَوْمَءِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبارَهاَ
The day the earth will furnish its report.
Surah Al-Zilzalah : 4

The first witness is the earth on which the sin is committed.

''The day We will seal their mouth, and their
hands shall speak, and their feet will testify
to every thing they earned''
Surah Ya'seen :70

The limbs with which sins committed also become witnesses.

''And when the book of  deeds are opened.''
Surah Al-Takwir :10

The third witness is the book of Deeds.
''The noble scribes who know what you are doing"

he fourth witnesses are the angles that record one's deeds :
Eradicating the Evidence of the Four
Witnesses of One's Sins
Thus, four witnesses, have been established against one. Nonetheless,
Allah Ta'ala has provided us with a prescription which will help us
against the four different witnesses against us. Allah's beloved Messenger
صلى الله عليه وسلم has provided us with a chemical to neutralise our state of
loss by removing all four witnesses. Allah Ta'ala has, through His beloved
Messengerصلى الله عليه وسلم granted us such a power which if sprinkled on
sin, will cause it to evaporate into nothingness. All the sign have disappeared
and left our reel clear of any recording.
Hazrat Thanwiرحمة الله عليه  narrates a Hadith in his book
''When a servant repents, Allah Ta'ala causes the recording angels to
forget. The limbs with which those sins were committed are also made
to forget. The signs of the sin on the earth are also eradicated to the
extent that such an individual will meet Allah Ta'ala on the Day of
Judgement in a state wherein he has no sins against his name.''
(Jamius Sagheer Vol. 1, pg.21)
Hazrat Thanwiرحمة الله عليه quotes this Hadith Shareef and says, ''Allah
Ta'ala did not even use the angels to wipe out the signs of our sins but
has attributed this act to Himself by saying, (اَنسَى اللهُ ) meaning, ''Allah
will make them forget.'' What is the wisdom in this ? So that on the Day
of Judgement, the angels do not have opportunity to gloat over us and
say, ''You were an unworthy wretch who benefited by our wiping out out
your sin.'' Allah Ta'ala in this manner saves His servants from being
obligated to the angels and also protects the honour of His servants.
No such king has ever passed or will do so, who not only pardons those
who are sentenced to death and also command the destruction of all files
compiled against them. Worldly rulers do not do this . Even if an amnesty
is granted, the records of their crimes are kept on the computers in the
record departments of the courts. Allah Ta'ala, on the other hand, forgives
His servants to such an extent that all files, all records are wiped clean and
all witnesses are made to forget their evidence. Consider how Kind and
Generous Allah Ta'ala is. Where can the rulers of the world ever compare
in their grace and kindness with Allah Ta'ala. What Splendour is possessed
by The King of all kings.

Upon who besides Him should I sacrifice
                   myself, tell me........
Do show me, if anyone like Him there is.

If's and But's
For those people who present 'ifs' and 'but' in obeying Allah Ta'ala, who say,
''I am to keep a bread..., but what about...'' Moulana Shah Muhammad Ahmed
Saheb has composed this couplet :
One in whose sight Your pleasure at all times rests.......
Neither, 'if' nor 'but' issues from his tongue.
Where can the lovers of Allah Ta'ala ever resort to 'ifs' and 'buts' Their condition
is expressive of :
Raise your axe and make a manly assault.
