In the Name of Allah,
the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The Ulema have written that one in whose heart the love of Allah
is embedded cannot become rejected because Allah Himself has stated :
Thus, Allah Ta'ala has mentioned the Ahl-e-Muhabbat, (the group of
lovers) in opposition to those who turn away from Allah. From this we
realise that the lovers of Allah are faithful, therefore, they will not be rejected.
Hazrat khwaajah Saheb states :
I am, till resurrection, in prostration, on that threshold. (threshold of Allah Ta'ala)
Not the head of an ascetic, this, is a head sold in slavery.
This is the head of a lover of Allah and not that of a dry scholar or ascetic that
will leave His threshold. An Aashiq never becomes a Murtad (renegade) he
never gives up his Deen. Thus from this verse the Ulema deduce that even the
death of Allah's lovers will be a good one, for had the Ahl-e-Muhabbat become
Murtad, their end would have been an evil one, but on the contrary, Allah Ta'ala
presents the Ahl-e-Muhabbat as substitutes for the Murtads. It will be a good
end, otherwise Allah Ta'ala would not have mentioned the Ahl-e-Muhabbat in
place of the Murtads.
therefore emphasises that the Saalikeen stay more in the company of the
Ahl-e-Muhabbat.
The question that arises is, what are the sighs of the Ahl-e-Muhabbat? How will
one determine whether someone has the love of Allah in his heart or not? Every
individual can lay claim to possessing this treasure by saying, ''I too, am among
the Aashiqeen, the lovers of Allah.'' Thus Allah Ta'ala has in this very verse
given three signs of the Ahl-e-Muhabbat, which are :
One in whose heart the love of Allah descends, will have attained the quality of
humility, all the pride and vanity evaporates into non existence as a result of which
he approaches every Muslim brother with humility. What is the proof of this?
Kings and emperors upon conquering a city, reduce it to ruins while
those who bore enmity to, and based on their strength, opposed them,
are arrested and humiliated so that they no longer remain hindrances in
the running of the kingdom. The Mashaikh have written that Allah Ta'ala
is the Emperor of all emperors. When He enters any heart, when He decides
to grant His special connection to an individual, then all the dominant qualities
like pride and vanity, are all arrested.
The quality of, اَذِ لَّةٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْ مِنِينَ is inculcated in them. Humility and
annihilation become a part of their nature while pride and vanity are no more.
I have observed even the walk of Hazrat Abdul Ghani Saheb phoolpuri the
effects of Fana'iyat, the effects of annihilation.

A Lover of Allah is never rejected
The Ulema have written that one in whose heart the love of Allah
is embedded cannot become rejected because Allah Himself has stated :
يآيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوْآ مَنْ يَّرْتَدَّ مِنْكُمْ عَنْ دِيْنِهِ
فَسَوْفَ يَاْتِي اللهُ بِقَوْمِ يُّحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُ
''O You who believe! whoever turns away from his Deen
among you, very soon Allah Ta'ala will bring another nation
(to replace you), He will love them and they will love Him''
5: 54
Thus, Allah Ta'ala has mentioned the Ahl-e-Muhabbat, (the group of
lovers) in opposition to those who turn away from Allah. From this we
realise that the lovers of Allah are faithful, therefore, they will not be rejected.
Hazrat khwaajah Saheb states :

Signs of Allah's Lovers

individual can lay claim to possessing this treasure by saying, ''I too, am among
the Aashiqeen, the lovers of Allah.'' Thus Allah Ta'ala has in this very verse
given three signs of the Ahl-e-Muhabbat, which are :
The First Sign :
Softhearted to the believers and stern towards the non believers.
humility, all the pride and vanity evaporates into non existence as a result of which
he approaches every Muslim brother with humility. What is the proof of this?
Verily, Kings, when they enter a town (country), they despoil it
and make the most honourable amongst its people the lowest.
And thus they do. 27 : 34
Kings and emperors upon conquering a city, reduce it to ruins while
those who bore enmity to, and based on their strength, opposed them,
are arrested and humiliated so that they no longer remain hindrances in
the running of the kingdom. The Mashaikh have written that Allah Ta'ala

to grant His special connection to an individual, then all the dominant qualities

He disgraces the honored among it's inhabitants.
The Second Sign is :
اَذِلّةً عَلَى الكافِرِينَ
They are harsh upon disbelievers.
While the Third Sign is :
يُجَاهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ اللهِ
They exert themselves in the path of Allah.
